The Dallas Cowboys haven’t won a Super Bowl since January 28, 1996, when their star quarterback Dak Prescott was just 2 1/2 years old. Despite numerous seasons without another Lombardi Trophy, the Cowboys’ value has only grown stronger. Recently, Sportico released its rankings of NFL franchise valuations, placing the Cowboys at the top with an astounding $10.32 billion valuation, making them the first sports franchise ever to surpass the $10 billion mark. This is a notable increase from Forbes’ September valuation of $9 billion.
In Sportico’s report, the Los Angeles Rams followed the Cowboys, ranking second with a value of $7.79 billion. The New York Giants came in third at $7.65 billion, while the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers were valued at $7.31 billion and $6.86 billion, respectively. The rankings highlight the financial dominance of these franchises, even as some struggle with on-field success.
Other notable franchises in the top 10 include the New York Jets, valued at $6.8 billion, and the Miami Dolphins at $6.76 billion, securing the sixth and seventh spots, respectively. The Philadelphia Eagles, valued at $6.75 billion, and the Washington Commanders at $6.3 billion, round out the list, along with the Las Vegas Raiders at $6.7 billion. Collectively, Sportico estimates that the combined value of all 32 NFL franchises, including team-related businesses and real estate, stands at an impressive $190 billion.
