Duke Shelley is making a comeback to Minnesota. The free agent cornerback signed with the Vikings on Tuesday, according to the team’s announcement. Shelley played in 11 games, starting five, for the Vikings in 2022. During that season, he recorded 30 tackles, an interception, and a career-high of eight passes defended, along with one special teams tackle.
Shelley, 27, is returning after spending the 2023 season with the Rams, where he appeared in 11 games. Drafted by the Bears in the sixth round in 2019, he spent three seasons in Chicago, playing in 30 games.
Throughout his NFL career, Shelley has participated in 52 games, including 11 starts, accumulating 92 tackles, one interception, 14 passes defended, and one fumble recovery.
