Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested late Friday night in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence, as reported by the Los Angeles Daily News on Sunday. According to the arrest report, the 22-year-old Addison, who completed his final college season at Southern California in 2022, was found asleep at the wheel of his vehicle. The vehicle was obstructing the primary freeway offramp to Los Angeles International Airport just after 11 p.m.
About half an hour later, California Highway Patrol officers arrested Addison following a DUI investigation. He was released from custody shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to the report. In a statement to multiple outlets, the Vikings said, “We are aware of Jordan Addison’s arrest this past Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident.” Addison, who was selected 23rd overall in the 2023 draft, caught 70 passes for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, earning a spot on the NFL All-Rookie team.
Last July, before his rookie season, Addison was cited in Minnesota for speeding and reckless driving after being clocked at a reported 140 mph. Eight days ago, Vikings rookie fourth-round pick Khyree Jackson was one of three people killed in a car crash in Maryland. He was 24.
